  There were 116 fish caught this opening tournament....it was a tough day of fishing.....24 of the 116 were largemouth bass....two fish were brought in to the scales dead.     Today's tournament was sponsored by the Wallenpaupack Sports Shop

Out of 40 boats entered ...NO ONE   brought an 8 fish limit to the scales. As one can see from the winning weights our first night tournament was even tougher than our opener. A total  of 92 fish were caught,....with 5 largemouths mixed into the nights fishing. All fish were returned alive to the water. We thank Shooky's for sponsoring this tournament and for the many years of support they have given  PASA.  Again for the 40 boats entered,....  PASA  paid back  5 places.....after our second tournament
our per tournament boat average is 44.  This is the best start we have seen yet.    If the numbers stay at this level we will break our payback records for each tournament ....but our Championship will be greatly increased also.

boats,...of which 31  brought fish to our scale. 6 teams had 8 fish limits...with a total of  151 fish caught. Out of the !51 fish caught,....12 were  Largemouths.

for today's tournament.   111 fish were caught with 18 largemouth included in this number. Because of the warmer
weather the limit was reduced from 8 to 6 fish per team by our tournament director Bob Miller. This was done to
minimize dead fish being brought to our scales.

Tonite's tournament brought to the scale 130 fish,....including 16 Largemouth. It was one of the rainiest, windiest, nastiest
nights yet,...but 26 dedicated (crazy) teams went out into the storm to catch BASS. As one can see Frank and Mike Scerbo
took first place so I guess this makes them the craziest team of the season....no extra bonus award ..sorry guys. Tonite's
tournament was sponsored by one of our members RON BOGART..who owns and operates UNLIMITED UNLIMITED CONTRACTORS.. He builds custom homes, puts on additions, does excavation and general contracting. Ron can be

The tournament at Harvey's Lake   "netted"  our 24 teams 69 fish
weighing in at 131.9 lbs..   Only 6 smallmouth were weighed in with the 63 largemouth.

found the fishing tough.....the day turned out to be one of the best  days of weather with

Jim and Bob were the instrumental members who organized this event for the Salvation Army. The day at Lake Ladore turned out to be a beautiful day, with a constant breeze, which was not a problem to the 60 teams fishing since hurricane Floyd had just passed through 2 days before. The fishing this year was a little tougher than the year before with 55 teams weighing in fish,...and 37 teams bringing a 6 fish limit to the scale. There were 289 fish weighed in,....with 174 largemouths, 115 smallmouths, a ton of blue gill and rock bass and 1  6lb walleye. All in all, not a bad day at all,..especially with the Waymart Fire Dept.   cooking all the food and having it ready as the teams got off the lake. We thank all the PASA volunteers and Jim Kulavich and Bob Miller for their additional efforts above and beyond the call of duty. The first 7 places were awarded   $3600.00 in prize money,...and the next 33 teams were awarded prizes donated by local business' and tackle shops. Check out our schedule for 2000 and make sure you mark your calendars for June 18th which will be the first day we except applications for the 2000 LAKE LADORE BENEFIT.

Today's tournament  fielded 18 boats. 60 fish were weighed in with 1 smallmouth. The smallmouth
just happened to be the lunker also, weighing in at
just happened to be the lunker also, weighing in at 3.01 lbs. This was the second tournament lunker caught by the Fred Pittsman. The second place team member John LoDolce caught 3 tournament lunkers this season.  But Fred took home the honor of   LUNKER OF THE YEAR   with the fish he caught at our July 11th tournament of 5.85lbs. Again....we thank Dave Swoyer for sponsoring our tournament at his park and his years of support to PASA.

Championship Tournament
October 16th - Lake Ladore

The Championship Tournament at Lake Ladore started out at 6am with two teams not showing up. That was ok with
the rest of the contestants,....because now their odds of winning just improved. Out of 24 teams, all weighed in fish except
4 teams. 134 fish were caught including 68 smallmouth , for a total weight of 216.14lbs. The lunker of the day weighed in at 2.9lbs and was caught by Bryan Bylotas. The day was a beautiful day and the rainy windy weather held off for the entire day.
Over all the teams were pleased with their day on Lake Ladore.  Coffee and doughnuts were also provided for the entire field.

YEAR END SUMMARY
A  total of 316 teams fished with  { PASA }  this year. They caught  1013  fish,...weighing in at1578.50lbs.  The  lunker of the year award went to Fred Pittsman,...5.85lbs.. The top team of the year was was Fred Pittsman and Joe Mican, with a total year end weight of 75.25lbs.. Fred andJoe also won the bonus for most weight of approximately $577.00. The wild card team entry was awarded to the team of Stengel and Knecht, who had a total year end weight of  43.58lbs. {seechart above for team year end placements and weights}. But Fred and Joe did not walk away withthe Championship,...as one can see by the stats above this year end summary. Congratulations goout to the team of  Wolak and Finn for taking first place with a winning weight of 11.23lbs. Thisis the second year {98 / 99}  that Wolak took first place at the championship. The total moniesdistributed the day of Championship was  $4900.00,..with almost $2000.00 going to first place,$1150.00 to second,  $830.00 to third and $260.00 to lunker.    Watch our websitefor upcoming shows and printout our 2000 schedule to mark your calendars with.
