1998 TEAM TOURNAMENT RESULTS JUNE 14TH OPENER
A total of 40 boats attended our opener at Lake Wallenpaupack,....there were 130 fish caught, totaling 215.24lbs. There were ( 6 ) 8 fish limits, with these top three teams qualifying for our Championship. 23 largemouth and 107 smallmouth.Our first tournament was sponsored by WALLENPAUPACK SPORTS SHOP. Stop in and get the local info on the lake from Wayne and Pat. Plus check out their full line of hunting , fishing and live bait supplies.
JUNE 19TH FRIDAY NITE TOURNAMENT
There were a total of 35 boats from our tournament on the Pack Friday night,.....we were joined by another 140 boats from the Bass Federation and ABA on Saturday morning before we weighed in. Surprisingly all went quite well. 144 fish were caught by PASA members totalling 234.58lbs. There were only 4 8 fish limits brought to the scale. 13 largemouth and 131 smallmouth.Today's tournament was sponsored by SHOOKY'S DISTRIBUTOR AND IGA. JULY 12TH

30 boats attended the August 1st tournament sponsored by SANDONE TIRE , there were 3 8 fish limits caught .
AUGUST 14TH FRIDAY NIGHT
The August 14th tournament was sponsored by BOWERS MARINE
SALES located at the old LO-JAN building in Dickson City. 30 boats
attended the last night tournament of this year and caught 134 fish. The total
weight weighed in was 224.43lbs with 9 largemouth and 125 smallmouth. The
Wunner Bros. caught the lunker which weighed in @ 4.92lbs. SEPTEMBER 12TH
The sponsor for our HARVEY'S LAKE tournament was RYAN'S AUTO BODY, 24 boats were in attendence Saturday and most of the teams liked having the tournament after Labor day and not dealing with the summer traffic on the lake and the congestion at the public launch. The majority of the bass caught were largemouth, with Dennis Neenan catching the biggest largemouth of the day @ 4.63lbs.
SEPTEMBER 19TH LAKE LADORE BENEFIT

for | The Lake Ladore Benefit was held Saturday, September 19th, with 60 teams in attendence. There were 340 bass caught for a total weight of 591.29lbs. The total number of largemouth was 260, with an additional 80 smallmouth, 2 walleye, numerous monster rockbass and a few pickerel. When looking at these figures one must keep in mind that we only allowed a 6 fish limit per 2 man team, which means 53 teams brought in a limit of bass. The top weight was just over 15lbs. and they also had the lunker of the day of 4.61lbs. A excellant time was had by all, with the Waymart Fire Dept. providing the food and soda. An excellant job was done by all Lake Ladore Staff and PASA members. Special note and thanks goes out to Jimmy Kulavich and Tournament Director Bobby Miller.
SEPTEMBER 27TH LAKE WALLENPAUPACK
This was the toughest day fishing this entire season. 28 teams went out on Lake Wallenpaupack and worked too hard to bring in too few fish. The total number of fish brought to the scale was 38, weighing a total of 64.72lbs.. This total included12 largemouth and 26 smallmouth. Today's sponsor is SPORTS R US located east of Hamlin corners. They carry a full line of fishing and hunting supplies and bait.
OCTOBER 4TH LAKE HENRY
The Lake Henry tournament was attended by 17 teams. Today's sponsor was Dave Swoyer of the CLAYTON RECREATONAL PARK. The total number of fish caught were 33 largemouth for a total of 35.64#'s. From the numbers reported today, one can see that it was a tough day on the water when the winning weight is 5.61#'s, and the lunker weighs 2.35#'s. The father and son team of Dobrowski, placed in the championship for their one and only and first tournament fished with PASA this year. CONGRATULATIONS. The teams of Castallini/Craige and Theobald/ Lupyak entered the championship today by qualification bumpdown and the team of Kulavich and Manning entered the championship by having the most weight for the season for the 1st unqualified team. This completes the championship field of 28 teams for 1998. The championship tournament will be held at Lake Ladore on October 18th.
CHAMPIONSHIP OCTOBER 18TH
The Championship was held on LAKE LADORE and was sponsored by CHIC'S COZY CORNER @ the intersection of RT 6 and 507 right on Lake Wallenpaupack opposite the observation dike. From excellant hot wings to burgers and more, Chic's has been a sponsor of PASA tournaments from the start of our organization. The Championship saw 28 teams including the WILDCARD TEAM vie for the accumulated championship monies. The total and breakdown is listed above. 144 fish were caught for 236.4 lbs. The 144 fish included 95 largemouth and 49 smallmouth. The yearend stats show 1003 fish caught for a total of 1637.84lbs; 321 largemouth, 682 smallmouth. For the entire season we had only 15 fish that were brought in dead or died shortly thereafter. PASA makes a concerted effort to return all bass caught back to the lake they were caught in, as unharmed as possible. From our livewell tanks and handling procedures, to supplying the fishing teams with additive to put in their own livewells to protect the fish while in their possession.
