boats that went out into that nasty storm to catch bass. Of the 32 ,....29
brought fish into the scale to be weighed in. In all 139
fish were weighed in,....including 25

the scale the next morning. Only two limits
were weighed in,....with the top weight of 14.69
going to the team of Poster/Zega.

The Gouldsboro Lake tournament had a field of 33
teams competing on a lake that PASA has
never been to
before. The fishing was tough with a top weight of just over 9lbs
taking first place. Of the 32 teams 23 brought
fish to the scales. 88 fish
were weighed in including 4 smallmouth...the
opposite of what we usually see on the
Pack. Today's tournament was sponsored by Wade of SEAMAN'S
MARINE. Wade has a bait and tackle store
as well as a full line of Starcraft and Mercury Marine
products. At SEAMAN"S MARINE they have an excellant
service department also....from small to large they can take care of your needs.

Our 2nd Night Tournament brought us back to the PACK...with 41 teams showing up for the 10 PM start.
35 teams weighed in 211 fish for a total weight of 335.21 lbs. Of the
211 fish....10
largemouth were brought
to PASA'S scale. From my conversations with some of our members ,...the bite was real
good....., the problem
was that the fish were getting off the hooks. This problem can be fixxed very quickly by
going to our sponsor
HUNTER'S GALLERY and
buying some good hooks. All kidding aside we do once again thank Hunter's
for being a sponsor for our tournament trail, and we ask our members to patronize all our
sponsors as much as
possible.

fish to our scale weighing in @ 242lbs.
Of the 161 fish,.....38 were largemouth.
36 teams went out into the rain
Sunday morning,....and most said that they were catching fish. In fact the complaint
this morning was ...".we're catching pickerel every other cast "......but
besides the numerous pickerel fishing was
very active for the bass also. The lunker weighed in at just under 4lbs. and a couple of teams said they lost
bigger
fish next to their boats. Today's tournament was sponsored by BOWERS MARINE....who
carry a full line of
TRACKER and Nitro boats. Stop by and see Ed at their Dickson City location on RT 6.

WildCard Team of Theobald & Stengel...Who placed 2nd in the
Championship. This is the first time this was ever done. |
The Championship, sponsored by CHIC'S
COZY CORNER ,....saw a field of 28
boats entered for the event. Of the 28,..25 made the tournament. 138
fish were caught totalling 227.71 pounds.
Of the 138 bass caught,....a surprising
73 were smallmouth. The lunker of
the championship was caught by the team of Brunza
& Olejnik and weighed in
@ 6.75pounds. The other surprize of the Championship was the winning of second place by
the wildcard team.
The team of Theobald & Stengel won their place through our wildcard program,...which means they never
placed in any
of our regular season tournaments,...but because of fishing the season together and
accumulating the most weight of an
unqualified team.....won a place in our Championship. They then went on to win 2nd place
in our Championship...and being
the first wildcard team ever to do this.
