2001 Tournament Results

JUNE 17TH LAKE WALLENPAUPACK

June 17th father's day fielded 40 boats. Of the 40 teams entered 14
brought in an 8 fish limit. So competition was a little fierce for our
opening tournament for 2001. The team of  Chet Williams and John Pfleckl
brought to the scales, the heaviest bag of fish weighing in @ 18.23lbs. to
win first place.  The team of Heacock and Gudd came in second with
a weight of 15.86lbs.  The 3rd place team of Acornley and Vest weighed
in with 15.66lbs.  The lunker weighed in just over 4lbs. {4.15} to be
exact... and was caught by the Poster/Zega team.A total of 179 bass were brought
to the scales for a total weight of 290.6lbs . Of these 182 bass,..26 were
largemouth. By the way the 4.15 lunker was a largemouth.The annual Bar-B-Q
was held after the weighin..and all had a great time.

JUNE 22ND NIGHT TOURNAMENT

Our first Friday night tournament { 1of 4 this year},  again brought 40 teams out with
possible bad weather threatening. Of the 40 teams 20 brought in limits of 8 fish.
252 bass were brought to PASA'S scale, for a total weight of 464.78lbs. The Team of
Joby Poster and John Zega brought in the winning weight of 19.14lbs. The second
place team of Stengel and Knecht had a weight of 18.04lbs and Edinger and Seifert came
in 3rd with a weight of 17.63lbs. The lunker  weighed in @ 5.3lbs and was caught
by The Sciarra's. Of the 246 bass caught 19 were largemouth.
Coffee and doughnuts were provided for our members prior to
their drive home.

JULY 8TH- GOULDSBORO

The Gouldsboro tournament  was threatened by thunderstorms....but 25 teams showed up
anyway. Of the 25 teams fishing....10 brought 8 fish limits to the scale. The first place team
of Mican & Paige had the top weight of 13.43lbs...which included 2 largemouth over 3
pounds. They also took the Lunker of the day with one of those fish weighing in @ 3.4lbs.
The second place team of Knecht & Stengel took 2nd once again with a weight of 12.19lbs.
The 3rd place team of Werner & Park weighed in with 11.72lbs. 125 fish were weighed in
for a total of 153.36lbs.

JULY 13TH- LAKE WALLENPAUPACK
NIGHT TOURNAMENT

41 teams showed up for PASA's second night tournament and fished from 10pm until 6am
the next morning. At the weighin 241 fish were weighed in for a total of 425.33lbs. Of the
241 fish brought to PASA's scale 30 were largemouth. The top winning weight was caught
by the team of The Haftl's and was 18.44lbs. The second place team of Amberg & Wright
brought 17.85lbs to our scale. The 3rd place team of Olejnik & Brunza placed with 17.59lbs.
Lunker was caught by Planner & Izzi and weighed 4.04lbs.

JULY 29TH  LAKE WALLENPAUPACK

36 TEAMS participated in this day tournament on Lake Wallenpaupack. 9 teams brought an 8 fish limit to our scale.148 fish were weighed in weighing in at 245.92lbs. The first place team of Praefke and Jones brought 18.24lbs to the scale. Wolak and Hall brought 16.91lbs for the second place berth and the team of Park and Park weighed in 16.63lbs for third place. The lunker weighed in @ 4.20lbs and was also caught by the team of Park and Park.
Out of the 148 fish brought in 52 were largemouth.

AUGUST 10TH LAKE WALLENPAUPACK

This evening's tournament brought 31 teams out into the possible thunderstorms rolling through our area. Fortunatelyfor all...it never rained Friday night. Out of the 31 teams...13 teams brought a limit to our scale in the morning @ the 6am weighin. Of the 147 fish weighed in.....29 were largemouth...and the total weight was 281.89lbs. The first place team of Mican & Paige had a winning weight of 22.34lbs.   The second place team of Brunza & Olejnik had a weight of 18.98lbs...plus they brought in the lunker of the tournament weighing in @ 4.47lbs. The third place team of Theobald and
Bogart brought in 18.95lbs to the scale.

AUGUST 24TH...LAKE WALLENPAUPACK

37 teams attended our last night tournament for 2001. Of the 37 teams 8 brought limits to
PASA'S scale. The team of Poster and Zega brought the Lunker to our scale weighing in@
4.65lbs. The first place team of Mican & Paige weighed in 18.99lbs. The second place team
weighed in
weighed in 15.28lbs and the bass were brought in Knecht & Stengel. I believe this is the third
time this season they placed second?????. Anyhow the third place team of the Scerbo Bros's
brought in 15.27lbs to clinch third and also a berth in the championship.
Of the 127 fish brought to the scales 28 were largemouth, and weighed 233.79lbs.

SEPTEMBER  9TH   HARVEY'S LAKE

The Harvey's Lake tournament was attended by 35 teams.   These teams brought
in
in 117 fish including 8 largemouth bass. The fish weighed a total of 194.72lbs.

The second place team of the Wunner Brothers   weighed in @ 14.45lbs and
the third place team of

The Lunker  of the Day  was caught by the team of Edinger and Seifert and

weighed 4.43lbs just edging out the Wunner's lunker of 4.42lbs

SEPTEMBER 15TH  LAKE LADORE BENEFIT

The Lake Ladore Benefit Tournament took place after the World Trade Center Attack. It was agreed
by all in attendence and the Salvation Army Director that the proceeds were to be donated to the
New York City home office of the Salvation Army to be used to help those involved with the efforts
in New York and their families. 60 teams participated in this event...some with flags billowing from the
backs of their bassboats. All had a pretty good time , ...some better than others. As always the Waymart
Fire Department was on hand to serve  hotdogs, hamburgers and soda to the contestants and they also
donated all the proceeds to the New York Fire departments. The first place team of Vitaletti and Yager
won with a weight of 14.47lbs. The second place team of Mitchell and Dillon weighed in@ 13.55lbs.
The third place team of McConnell and Scerbo weighed in @13.25lbs. The fourth place team of Delicati Sr.
weighed in at 12.31lbs. The fifth place team of Paranich and Vangarelli weighed in @ 12.19lbs. The sixth
place team weighed in@ 12.04 lbs and was the Gravines. And Finally the seventh place team of Werner
and Park weighed in @ 11.96lbs. The lunker of the tournament was caught by Vitaletti and Yager and
weighed 5.17lbs. 319 fish were weighed in weighing a total of 540.lbs and 133 of these fish were
Largemouth. A $2000.00 check was sent to the home offices of the Salvation Army.

18 teams were present at our last tournament of the year,..trying to qualify for the
championship.

Lake Henry fish can be amazingly small at times....anyhow out of the 85 fish  1 1
smallmouth was brought to the scale. The first place team of Bylotas and Pacholec
weighed in @ 11.40lbs. The second place team of Duddek's weighed in @ 7.60lbs
and the third place team of Werner & Park weighed in @ 7.20lbs. The Lunker
weighed in

28 teams qualified for our PASA Championship. 23 showed up to fish. All caught a limit of fish on Lake Ladore.
The first place team of PARK AND WERNER had the wining weight of 14.27lbs. The second place team of
BYLOTAS AND PACHOLEC  had a weight of 12.09lbs,....and the third place team of PARK AND PARK
had a weight of 11.61lbs. The LUNKER of the Championship was also caught by PARK AND WERNER and
weighed in @ 3.18lbs
