June 16th, fell on fathers day this year,...and with it 45 teams showed up to fish.
All contestants were off and running by 5:06, to their favorite spots. With the
weather being very windy and threatening,.16 teams were able to bring an 8 fish
limit to our scale. The first place team of PARK/WERNER weighed in @ 17.34 lbs.
The second place team of PITTTSMAN/CICHOCKI brought 17.11lbs to the scale. The 3rd place team of ACORNLEY/VEST  brought in 8 fish totalling 16.75lbs,
just edging out the husband and wife team The Knecht's who weighed in with 16.74lbs. The 5th place team of Pfleckl/ Williams had a total of 15.51lbs.
210 fish were weighed in weighing a total of 337.27lbs. 29 largemouth were bought to the scale with the lunker weighing in @ 6.57lbs caught by team WILLAFORD.

Our first night tournament of the 2002 season was a nice night to be out on the pack.
As usual some thought the bite was tough and fish too far and few during the 8 hours of fishing. Some thought the night was excellent. Our first place team of HOUMAN/KIZER not only brought in the winning first place weight but the lunker also. Their total weight was 19.24lbs and the LUNKER weighed in @ 5.41lbs.
The second place team of POSTER/ZEGA  brought 18.52lbs to the scale and the third place team of MICAN/PAIGE brought 18.02lbs to the scale. The 4th place team of Wright/Amberg brought 16.56lbs to the scale.  In all there were 39 teams fishing our first night tournament.   17 teams had 8 fish limits. 219 fish were caught and released for a total of 380.61lbs.    8 largemouth were brought in as compared to 29 for our first tournament a few days earlier.

The tournament @ PROMPTON had a field of 23 teams.  One team came in with an 8 fish limit. Six teams had a 7 fish bag and 2 teams had a six fish bag. To say that the fishing was tough is an understatement. The team of WILLIAMS/PFLECKL had the lunker of the day which weighed in @ 3.11lbs and a total weight of 11.30lbs to secure first place. The team of DUDDEK/WERNER placed second with 6 fish weighing 11.22lbs. The third place team of HAWKINS/BOWERS placed with a weight of 10.95lbs., and 4th place went to WRIGHT/AMBERG with a weight of 10.31, who had the only limit of bass. 95 bass were brought to the scale weighing 131.02lbs. 51 largemouth were included in the 95.

37 boats showed up to fish this Friday night. 161 bass were weighed in for a total of 272.95lbs..
The first place team of WALTERS & WALTERS brought 17.80lbs to the scale. The second place team of
WERNER & PARK  brought in 15.16lbs. and the third place team of  KOVALESKI & ZEILER had
15.10lbs. including the lunker of the night weighing in @ 5.98lbs. The 4th place team of MCCONNELL
& KUMBURIS weighed-in 15.08lbs.

 Breakfast was cooked by Dave Swoyer before the 5am launch. It was nice having fresh coffee, scrambled
eggs, toast, home fries and some other food stuffs waiting for us first thing in the morning. Dave not only
had breakfast for us @ 3am,....but came back and cooked hot dogs and burgers @ 1pm after the weigh
in.  Needless to say,....the 29 teams that participated in Sunday's tournament appreciated the breakfast
and the Bar B Q.  We also want the thank Bill Theobald's mom for baking cakes and other goodies for
the members of PASA. If there's anyone I'm missing let me know and I will edit this the next time I make
changes  to our website. The team of PARK & WERNER placed first with 11.90 lbs and also had the
lunker  weighing in @ 3.60lbs. The second place team of the Park's brought 10.30lbs to the scale. The
third place team of the AUSTIN"S had a bag of fish weighing 9.78lbs. And Corby & Shedlock came
in fourth with a weight of 9.53lbs.

Friday night was a warm night. The lake was down about 10-12 feet from our previous night
tournament. Some members prefer the lower levels because it can concentrate the bass in
certain areas of the lake. It turned out to be a tough night of fishing. Of the 37 teams fishing, only
7 teams brought an 8 fish limit to our scale. 140 bass were weighed in for a total weight of
229.49lbs.. 30 of these bass were largemouth. The top weight went to the KLINE'S, who
brought in 14.95lbs. The second place team of SULLA/FERRETT weighed in @ 14.56lbs.
The third place team OLSWFSKI/BLAINE had the total weightof 14.18lbs. The 4th place team
of SUKOWSKI/KUBIE had a weight totalling 13.99lbs.And the lunker of the tournament went to
the KNECHT'S weighing in @ 4.45lbs.

Friday night was a wet time for all. Of the 38 teams fishing this night 13 managed
to bring in limits of bass. The first place team of AMBERG/WRIGHT brought 19.89lbs.
to our scale the next morning. The KLINE'S  weighed in 17.56lbs to take second place.
UlMER/LODOLCE came to the scale with 16.90lbs. to capture 3rd place and
MCCONNELL/KUMBURIS brought 16.65lbs to take 4th. The LUNKER was
caught by MICAN/ABDALLA and weighed in @ 5.63lbs.  182 bass were caught
weighing in @ 312.3lbs.

18 teams made it to Swinging Bridge Reservior to catch 103 bass. The weather was
excellent. The fishing was tough if you didn't get up to the lake to prefish it. The 155.1
pounds of bass broke down this way. MICAN / PAIGE  brought in 19.58 lbs to take
first place. The PARK'S brought to the scale a total of 14.62lbs., including a lunker
weighing in @ 4.96lbs. The team of MATTI/ URDA  came in third with 12.28lbs. and
the team of PITTSMAN/CICHOCKI  came in 4th with 11.86lbs.

The Harvey's Lake tournament turned out to be the most dismal rainy day of our 2002 season.
Only 13 diehard teams showed up to take the final three championship spots, and to win the WILD
CARD BONUS MONEY. The race for the WILD CARD BONUS of close to $500.00 was
extemely close this year and came down to two experienced teams within a couple of pounds of
each other. The team of AMBERG/WRIGHT  led the entire season after the first two tournaments
with the team of  PITTSMAN/CICHOCKI  always a few pounds away. It came down to the
final tournament of this year to decide the winner. With a handshake from the team of
AMBERG/WRIGHT ,...  the winning team of PITTSMAN/CICHOCKI was congratulated.
The first place team of HOUMAN/KIZER  weighed in 12lbs. with 6 fish. The second place
team of PITTSMAN/CICHOCKI brought  5 fish in weighing 10.19lbs, and the third place team of
BOWERS/HAWKINS  brought in 6 fish weighing 10.16lbs. The 4th place team of  PARK/WERNER
weighed in 10.02lbs.  It was a very close finish for 2nd, 3rd and 4th places. The LUNKER was
caught by the team of HALCHAK/CHRISTOPHER and weighed 4.80lbs.
 

SEPTEMBER 29TH   CHAMPIONSHIP

Out of 28 teams entered into the Championship,....21 showed up to fish @ Swinging
Bridge Reservoir. Of the 21,...15 teams weighed in fish. The first place weight was
brought in by PITTSMAN/CICHOCKI  and totalled 13.89 pounds. The second
place team  PARK/PARK weighed in 12.68 pounds. The third place team of
PARK/WERNER placed with 12.53 pounds and the fourth place team of
HALCHAK/CHRISTOPHER weighed in  with 10.88 pounds. The Championship
Lunker with a weight of 3.89 pounds was caught by  KULAVICH/ROBINSON.

The year end summary of PASA activities saw 307 boats participating in our events. They
brought  1388  bass to our scales for a total of 2186.32 pounds. 334 were largemouth and
1054 were smallmouth. The CHAMPIONSHIP paid out close to $3600.00.
