June 18, 2006 Lake Wallenpaupack day tournament 5am - 1pm. The opening day tourney of 2006 we had nice weather. Sunny with temps in the 80's. We had 29 boats. Mican/Hall took 1st place with 16.52 lbs.
June 23, 2006. Lake Wallenpaupack night tourney. The first night tourney of 06 saw 26 boats. The weather was cloudy, foggy, and humid. It started off mostly dry, but a few hours in the rain started and didn't stop. The bite was tough but some teams hung in there and found the fish.
July 8th Tobyhanna Lake. If you thought Tobyhanna was tough last year, this year was even worse. Only 8 out of 30 boats weighed fish. There were 23 fish out of 60 anglers. 7 of those were brought in by Mican/Hall. It was another high pressure sun and clouds day and the lake is loaded with weeds.
July 23rd Wallenpaupack night tourney.
July 30th Lake Henry
August 6th Wallenpaupack Our first tourney that we experimented with a 2am launch and 10am weigh-in. Although it seems most got good fish it seems the consensus is to go back to the 10 pm launch and 6 am weigh-in.
August 19th Wallenpaupack This was the last night tournament of the season. The overnight temps stayed in the 60's with some on and off light showers. The high winds made it tough to fish the main lake. It seems the winning bags came from the lower end of the lake.
August 27th Prompton Dam Two years in a row the Prompton Tourney has been a complete rain out. Rain and wind all day. Not just sprinkles but down pours. Reports of heavy fishing pressure the week of the tournament and the weather combined to make it an extremely tough day. Only 2 limits out of 25 boats. The PASA barbeque at the Waymart Hotel was a great success. Great food, great pavillion and out of the rain.
September 10th Harvey's Lake Once again Harvey's Lake was a tough bite. The weather was decent, overcast and comfortable. 6 fish was the most brought to the scales and the lunker was 4.83 lb. We had the same number of boats, 25, as in 2005.
